Scientists mull food addition

The third meeting of the Azerbaijan Section of the International Academy of Sciences has adopted a scientific program “Zeolite and flint – therapeutic means to better health”. Reporting on the program Friday was President of the IAS East European Section, a member of the International Astronauts Academy, director of the Institute for Psycho-Social Health Carl Geht. He set out historic aspects of medicinal effect of flint in various diseases.

The IAS Azerbaijan Section in cooperation with German scholars is preparing a program “Joint production of biologically active mineral food addition, Azeobud, using Azeri zeolite and flint compositions”.

Germany has recently manufactured a mineral food addition on the basis of Azeri zeiolite, dolomite and flint as an invention of chemist Gerd Tene, Mr. Geht said.

According to him, Azerbaijan will soon be able to produce similar food additions for domestic consumption.*
