Faith, terror to be discussed in Baku

The state committee on religious affairs, the scientific and religious council under the Caucasus Clerical Office and traditional confessions represented in Azerbaijan are expected to hold a meeting, “Traditional religions and terror”, at the “Irshad” Hotel of Baku Tuesday. The parties are expected to voice their attitude toward terrorism, support President Aliyev’s position on the terror attacks in the US and voice solidarity with international anti-terrorist forces.

The meeting will also consider adopting an address to the Azeri President to hold an international conference, “Role of Islam in combating terrorism”, in Baku before the end of this year, a source from the Committee told AssA-Irada Monday.*
