Bars, nightclubs cracked down

Measures of control are being enforced in the bars and nightclubs of Baku, as groups comprising representatives of the Mayor’s office and Ministry for Internal Affairs are implementing a recent presidential decree demanding control over various entertainment facilities, according to a source from the Ministry.

Several bars located on the ground and first floors of apartment buildings have already been shut down following numerous complaints of unhappy neighbors. All the others have been ordered to finish work at 9 p.m.*
