Turkish, Azeri aid agencies to co-op
Turkish and Azerbaijani humanitarian organizations will sign an agreement on cooperation soon.
The document is to be inked either in Ankara or in Baku in the near future, as a delegation of the Turkish Red Crescent Society (TRCS) is in Baku to discuss the issue.
The Turkish delegates held a meeting in the head office of the Azerbaijan Red Crescent Society (AzRCS) on Tuesday. The priorities of cooperation were in focus at the discussions.
The TRCS President Tekin Kucukali told reporters that the key goal of the visit to Baku was to outline directions of the cooperation agreement and get familiar with the work being done by the AzRCS.
“The TRCS is interested in developing relations with Azerbaijan. The development of young and independent Azerbaijan necessitates that. The acceleration of mutual exchange of experience is important for the entire region,” he said.
The ARCS President Novruz Aslanov said that Azerbaijan was going to cooperate with Turkey in future activities related to blood donation and emergency situations as well as easing people’s suffering.
During the two-day visit, the Turkish delegation will hold a number of official meetings as well.*
