Over 50 Azeris die during construction ops in 2007

Over 50 of approximately 100 death cases registered in 2007 took place during construction operations, head of the Labor Inspection of the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, Nabi Shukurlu, said.

“Most accidents happened in construction sites as a result of the falls from height,” he told reporters.

Shukurlu said that the Labor Inspection had repeatedly issued warnings over observation of safety rules and use of special belts, helmets and glasses as well as taking other measures.
