Official discontent with plight of Azeri cultural sites in Georgia
The Azerbaijani culture and tourism minister has expressed his discontent with the situation with Azerbaijani cultural sites in Georgia.
Abulfas Garayev, who has been in Georgia to attend an international conference under way on the initiative of the World Tourism Organization (WTO), told reporters that he had informed his Georgian counterpart of the plight of Azerbaijani cultural sites. He said that the Georgian government would take urgent measures in this regard.
About 150 representatives from various countries are attending the conference. Georgian Prime Minister Zurab Nogaideli and the WTO President Francesco Frangialli are also among the event participants.
The key goal of the conference is to realize the strategy of tourism communications in collaboration of public and private sectors.*
