“Neftchi” beats Armenian champion

Azerbaijan’s last champion, Neftchi football club sealed a 2:0 win over Armenian champion Punik in the ј finals of the Commonwealth Cup tournament on Wednesday. The goals were scored by Georgian legionnaire Georgi Adamiya and Vidadi Rzayev in the second halftime.

The Azeri team will face Ukraine’s “Dinamo Kiev” in the semifinals.

Earlier “Neftchi” had 1:0 and 4:1 wins over Moldova’s Sherif and Turkmenistan’s Nebitchi respectively in the group.*
